Birthday Tarot Spread

This year I gave myself a birthday tarot card reading. The cards are laid in a circle, starting with the current month. A 13th card is laid in the center to represent the theme of the year. This layout is not my creation, I have seen similar layouts in many places.

After making offerings to my guide, I laid my Spread in both Rider Waite, which I’m familiar with, and in The Wild Unknown, which I’m just learning.

So, that theme card is really standing out. Sometimes he is a person in your life. I’m preferring to think this card, the King of Pentacles, represents my need for security, especially home and finance, this next year.

March is looking rough with that Death card! But I am relieved to see it followed immediately by the Fool and the Six of Wands. A sloughing off of the old and a fresh faced rebirth. 

Also jumping out- September and October. Who is that shy fawn? And where am I escaping to?

I made notes for each month in my Passion planner to remind me. A card to really study each month.
